MPO Draft FY 2011 - 2014 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The Draft Siouxland Interstate Metropolitan Planning Council (SIMPCO) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in now open for public comment and review. Please view the document here:  DRAFT FY 2011 - 2014 TIP

The TIP is developed by SIMPCO transportation planning staff with input from the Transportation Technical Committee and the Policy Board of the MPO. Per the requirements of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) the MPO is also notifying environmental resource, cultural agencies, transportation providers and all interested parties who have valuable input to our region.  The TIP is required by federal law and its purpose is to serve as an organizational structure of information on transportation improvements to be made within the MPO Planning Area.

The MPO is in the process of developing the Draft FY 2011-2014 TIP, with approval scheduled for July 8, 2010.  The MPO will be hosting a Public Input Meeting on June 22, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the SIMPCO offices, 1122 Pierce Street, Sioux City, Iowa 51105.  The public is invited to view and comment on the DRAFT TIP.  All comments should be submitted to Michelle Bostinelos at 712-279-6286 or by email at mbostinelos@simpco.org
