MPO 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan Amendment
The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is amending portions of the 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan with approval scheduled for February 18, 2010. The LRTP is a tool for developing safe and efficient transportation improvements for the SIMPCO MPO region through the year 2030. These improvements encompass all modes of transportation including public transit, bicycle and pedestrian travel in addition to streets and highways. Chapter 8: Proposed Amendments January 2010
The proposed amendments include:
1. West 19th Street (Casselman- Riverside Drive) replacement of pavement surface in Sioux City needs to be programmed at a total estimated cost of $1,200,000 full Federal participation (stimulus II) in FY 2010.
2. Villa Street (John Street to 1/2 block east of Panoah Street) resurfacing in Sioux City needs to be programmed at a total estimated cost of $650,000 full Federal participation (stimulus II) in FY 2010
3. Pearl Street (mid block 4th Street to 7th Street) reconstruction in Sioux City needs to be programmed at a total estimated cost of $2,400,000 with $766,049 Federal participation (stimulus II) in FY 2010
4. K45 from Sergeant Bluff city line to MPO Boundary in Woodbury County patching and overlay needs to be programmed at a total estimated cost of $1,100,000 with $550,000 Federal participation (stimulus II) in FY 2010
5. S. Lewis Blvd (Rec complex to south end Warrior Road) in Sergeant Bluff needs to be programmed at a total estimated cost of $820,000 with $600,000 Federal participation (stimulus II) in FY 2010

There will be a Public Input Meeting on February 16 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at SIMPCO, 1122 Pierce Street, Sioux City IA, 51105.
